Description
The Daydreamer Cut to Size blind is made from an extremely lightweight silky feel material that offers 100% blackout properties.
Measuring 2m x 1.3m you have sufficient material to cover multiple smaller windows or the one large window.
Using VELCRO® Brand self-adhesive tabs around the window frame, this blackout blind attaches to the window with ease and leaves no gaps (follow instructions before cutting).
Because this blind is so light and the material so soft and not stiff and bulky, it can be taken down and stored in the bag supplied very easily in seconds, or if you prefer you can simply roll the blind up using the securing straps provided.
How it Works: Simply apply the VELCRO® Brand self-adhesive tabs to your window frame and apply the self-adhesive Fabric Fastener strips to the reverse side of the blackout fabric, ensuring they match up to the tabs on the window frame. Then simply press the blackout sheet against the attachments on the window to hang your blind.
Cutting your Blind: If you need to cut your blind to size, simply measure your window frame side to side and top to bottom – then add 40mm to the top measurement and the same to the side measurements, this will give you an excess of 20mm all the way around your blind which will fold over on the edge of your window onto the wall, which will stop light creeping in around the edges (instructions are provided). If you prefer to keep it full size, then simply fold or allow the excess to hang down when in use.

The blackout function of this fabric is outstanding. I’ve purchased a number of expensive blinds advertised as blackout and they have been useless. The fabric is lightweight. I didn’t go to the trouble of fitting this to the window frame so I can’t comment on the fitting components. I hung this fabric across the window using two hooks and by piercing a small hole in the fabric so I could simply unhook and take it down each day with ease once opening the curtains. It’s 2.30pm and it’s very dark in the bedroom which is ideal to assist my baby with day napping. Highly recommended.

We cut the blind to the size of the entire recess, leaving 2cm extra all around the edge (this is important!), stuck the velcro tabs around the window first (leave them a day to fully adhere), then stuck velcro on material (you stick it to the shiny side!). You have to do it carefully so they match up but there is some leeway when you’re putting the blind up. When you put the blind up, the 2cm border snuggles into the edges of the recess, thus blocking out any light that might come in.
Compared to the typical blackout roller blind, this blind is actually a real blackout blind – it is like a black hole – no light can escape – so be sure to keep well away from the event horizon!
Seriously though, well impressive – total, total darkness and it is very neat when up. 10 out of 10 to them. And if you bother them with email queries, as I did, they are incredibly sweet, friendly and responsive (thank you Craig!). I get the impression they are a small company that really cares about their product and their customers.

I work night shift and the sun rises straight onto my bedroom window. I have tried eye masks but they either fall off or I’m taking them off in my sleep and don’t find them comfortable. I already have blackout curtains but the light escapes around the edges especially at the top. Thought about installing a blind but then I came across this product. I am amaze. Finally I have achieved complete darkness! I even left me toddler in there while I shut the door and she cried to be let out it was that dark. Passed the toddler crying test lol.
Was easy to install, cut to the size of my frame then installed the Velcro onto the window frame then measured the spacing between the Velcro so the pads that go onto the back of the blackout material was perfect fit. Easy to put up starting at the top and working way round the window frame. As for pulling off the Velcro is not strong so it comes away really easily to put away into the bag. If it was my choice I’d just leave it up but I live with a missus so you could guess the rest haha.
